Welcome to Blue Coppice!

Bethany Hughes, the designer behind Blue Coppice, has stitched, drawn and made ‘things’ since she was a very small child. No egg box, piece of string or pot of glue was safe...and still isn’t. Her quirky, whimsical counted cross-stitch and embroidery designs are inspired by the beautiful English countryside, stately homes and historic textiles, and a lifetime spent in art galleries and museums.

Each Blue Coppice design pack includes charts, a list of recommended materials, comprehensive step-by-step stitching and assembly instructions, stitch diagrams and full colour pictures of the finished items.

We also offer material packs for some of our smaller designs. These include high quality Zweigart or Permin linen (depending on colour), plenty of the required DMC floss, any other speciality materials and a gold-plated John James needle. You can also add a hoop for the perfect way to get started!
